    \begin{displaymath}
\left( f+g\right) \left( x\right) =f\left( x\right) +g\left...
...ht) \text{
};\quad \mathrm{dom}\left( f+g\right) =A\cap B.
\end{displaymath}

  • Diferença de funções

    \begin{displaymath}
\mathbf{\ }\left( f-g\right) \left( x\right) =f\left( x\rig...
...ight) \text{ };\quad \mathrm{dom}\left( f-g\right) =A\cap B.
\end{displaymath}

  • Produto de funções

    \begin{displaymath}
\mathbf{\ }\left( fg\right) \left( x\right) =f\left( x\righ...
...right) \text{ };\quad \mathrm{dom}\left( fg\right) =A\cap B.
\end{displaymath}

  • Quociente de funções

    \begin{displaymath}
\mathbf{\ }\left(\frac{f}{g}\right) \left( x\right) =
\frac{...
...)
=\left\{ x\in A\cap B\vert g\left( x\right) \neq 0\right\} .
\end{displaymath}

  • Produto de uma função por uma constante

    \begin{displaymath}
\mathbf{ }\left( \lambda f\right) \left( x\right) =\lambda...
...\Bbb{R  }\mbox{{\'e} uma constante e }\mathrm{%%
dom}f=A.
\end{displaymath}

  • Composição de funções
    Se $Im~f\subset B=\mathrm{dom}~g$, podemos definir a função composta:

    \begin{displaymath}
\left( g\circ f\right) \left( x\right) =g\left( f\left( x\r...
...t)
;\quad \mathrm{dom}\left( g\circ f\right) =\mathrm{dom}f
\end{displaymath}

  • Função Inversa
    Se $f:A\rightarrow B$ for bijetora, podemos definir a função inversa

    \begin{displaymath}
f^{-1}:B\rightarrow A
\end{displaymath}

    que a cada $y\in B$ associa o único elemento $f^{-1}\left( y\right)
=x\in A$ tal que $f\left( x\right) =y$. Observe que os gráficos Graf $\left( f\right) $ e Graf $%%
\left( f^{-1}\right) $ são simétricos em relação à bissetriz determinada pela equação $x=y$, ou seja,

    \begin{displaymath}
\left( a,b\right) \in \mathrm{Graf}\left( f\right) \Leftrig...
...(
b,a\right) \in \mathrm{Graf}\left( f^{-1}\right) \text{.}
\end{displaymath}
